Physical and chemical properties of chlorinated polyethylene
As a chemical raw material, chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is not common in daily life, and many people do not know its properties. Next, I will tell you about its physical and chemical properties:
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a new type of engineering plastics, which is made by chlorination modification of PVC resin. The product is white or light yellow, odorless, odorless, non-toxic loose particles or powder.
After chlorination of PVC resin, the irregularity of molecular chain arrangement and polarity increase, making the solubility and chemical stability of the resin increase, thus improving the heat resistance of the material and the corrosion resistance of acid, alkali, salt, oxidant, etc. The mechanical properties of the resin were improved. The chlorine content was increased from 56.7% to 63-69%. The Vicat softening temperature was increased from 72-82 ℃ (to 90-125 ℃), the highest temperature was 110 ℃, and the long-term temperature was 95 ℃.
The above is the physical and chemical properties of chlorinated polyethylene (CPE). After reading it, you must know something about it. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
