Corrosion resistance of chlorinated polyethylene (CPE)
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a kind of polymer synthetic material which is modified by chlorination of polyethylene. Due to its regular molecular structure, saturation, small polarity and good chemical stability, the various anticorrosive coatings prepared by CPE have the advantages of fast drying film, good adhesion, chemical resistance and moisture resistance.
Adding different modified resins, plasticizers, solvents, additives, antirust pigments, etc. to CPE can produce a variety of high chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings, which have excellent adhesion, anticorrosion, rapid drying, outdoor weather resistance and other characteristics.
At present, the production capacity of chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) in China has exceeded the demand. In the long run, it will be affected by the impact modifier with more advanced performance, such as the application of high chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) as anticorrosive coating mentioned above.
Enterprises should control production capacity, focus on research and development of production technology, and strive to produce products with better quality and wider application.
