Chlorinated polyethylene can also be divided into type A and type B
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a kind of high molecular material made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) by chlorination. CPE can be divided into resin CPE and elastic CPE according to its structure and application.
Resin CPE is also called A-type material in the product, and elastomer rubber CPE is also called B-type material (now more called cm)!
At the end of 1990s, the domestic demand for high-performance flame-retardant rubber is increasing, especially the development of wire and cable industry and auto parts manufacturing industry, which has driven the consumption demand for rubber type CPE. Rubber CPE is a kind of special synthetic rubber with excellent comprehensive properties, heat-resistant, oxygen ozone aging and flame retardancy.
Mainly used in wire and cable (coal mine cable, UL, VDE and other standards of wire), hydraulic hose, vehicle hose, tape, rubber plate, PVC profile pipe modification, magnetic materials, ABS modification and so on.
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is the product of the substitution of some hydrogen atoms on the molecular chain of polyethylene by chlorine atoms. The mass percentage of chlorine is generally 25% ~ 45%. CPE is a saturated polymer material, which is white powder, nontoxic and tasteless. It has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, as well as good oil resistance, fire resistance and coloring performance. Good toughness (still flexible at - 30 ℃), good compatibility with other polymer materials, high decomposition temperature.
